Ceiling TV brackets and mounts

A ceiling tv bracket is the ideal solution when wall space is limited or when you need your screen visible from multiple angles. Vogel's brackets are built to hold your television securely overhead, with adjustable height, integrated cable management, and TÜV-certified safety as standard.

Advantages of ceiling mounting a TV

TVs mounted to the ceiling can contribute to a sleek, modern aesthetic in any space.

Mounting a TV on the ceiling frees up valuable floor and wall space. Making it an ideal solution for small living areas, bedrooms, and commercial spaces like bars, restaurants, and more.

For businesses, display ceiling mounts can help in creating engaging displays or informative screens without compromising on floor space.

Choosing the right ceiling TV bracket

Selecting the correct ceiling mount TV bracket involves considering several factors, such as:

  • The weight and size of your TV
  • The ceiling material
  • Whether the mount’s height and angle can be adjusted.
  • Ensure the bracket you choose is compatible with the VESA mounting standard of your television for a secure fit.

What are the alternatives to a ceiling mount TV bracket?

There are several alternatives to using a ceiling mount. Each alternative offers unique benefits and can be chosen based on your living space, the layout of your room, or personal preferences.

The most common alternative to ceiling mounts is a TV bracket. We offer TV mounts with a variety of options ranging from fixed, tilt, to full-motion designs.

Wall mounts are ideal for most living spaces, allowing for a comfortable viewing height and angle. They also free up floor space and can securely support a wide range of TV sizes and weights.

For those who prefer not to mount their TV on the wall or hang the TV from the ceiling, TV stands are excellent options. These floor stands provide the flexibility to move your TV as needed. Vogel's stands come in various styles to complement your room.

If you're looking for a simple solution that doesn't require mounting on a ceiling or wall, a classic tabletop TV stand is the best choice. These stands attach directly to the TV's VESA mounting holes and rest on a flat surface.

Safety you can count on

Every Vogel's ceiling tv bracket is tested to three times its stated maximum load capacity and certified by TÜV Nord. That matters when your TV is hanging above a bed or a busy commercial space. You can be confident that your TV bracket will hold securely, day in, day out.

FAQ Ceiling TV bracket

Subject
Frequently asked questions.

Yes. A ceiling tv bracket is a practical solution for bedrooms, living rooms, and commercial spaces such as bars and restaurants. Vogel's ceiling mount tv brackets are designed for both flat and sloping ceilings and support TVs from 19 to 65 inches. As long as the bracket is fitted to a solid ceiling joist or appropriate fixings, ceiling mounting is safe and secure.

Vogel's ceiling TV brackets are suitable for flat inclined ceilings. For a secure installation, the bracket should always be fixed into a solid structural element such as a ceiling joist or concrete surface. Hollow plasterboard (drywall) alone is not sufficient to bear the load. If you are unsure about your ceiling construction, a professional installer can advise on the right fixings.

Avoid mounting a ceiling TV bracket into hollow plasterboard, artex, or any surface without a solid structural element behind it. Older properties in particular can have ceilings that look solid but are not suitable for load-bearing fixings.

You should also avoid positioning the bracket directly above seating where access for installation and occasional adjustment would be awkward. In rooms with very low ceilings, check the minimum drop length of the bracket before buying, as some telescopic models require a certain amount of clearance. Please contact our customer service for more support in selecting the right mount to hang your TV from the ceiling.

It depends on your room height and viewing position. Vogel's PFC series brackets are telescopic, meaning the drop length is adjustable so you can set the TV at exactly the right height for comfortable viewing. What is the right height for your TV? The centre of the screen should sit at eye level when you are seated. Read our blog post for more information about the ideal TV height.

It depends on your room. A ceiling mounted TV bracket is the better choice when wall space is limited, when the TV needs to be visible from multiple angles (such as above a bed or in a commercial space), or when the room layout makes a wall position impractical. Wall mounts generally offer a wider range of sizes and motion options, and tend to be simpler to install. Both are equally safe when fitted correctly to the right surface.

The key factors are TV size and weight, VESA compatibility, and whether you need an adjustable drop length or a fixed height. Vogel's ceiling TV brackets cover TVs from 19 to 65 inches, with tilt of up to 20 degrees for optimising the viewing angle. If your ceiling is sloped or at an unusual height, look for a telescopic bracket that allows height adjustment after installation.

Cable management is built into the bracket itself. The integrated cable inlay system keeps all cables neatly hidden from sight inside the tube, so there is no need for additional sleeves or columns. The bracket also includes a levelling function, making it straightforward to hang the mount perfectly level from the start.
