Purchasing TV Wall Mount, tips | Vogel's

TV Wall Mount purchasing tips

If you want to mount your new TV on the wall, there are a few things that you should take into consideration. But what are the most important considerations and how do you choose the best TV mount for your TV?

We have made a list of the most important points to help make it as easy as possible for you. We have also included a few tips for neatly concealing all of your peripheral equipment and cables.

Things to think about:

  1. Screen size of your TV

  2. VESA

  3. Weight

  4. Cable management

1. Screen size of your TV

How to measure TV mount size | Vogel's

The size of your TV screen determine which TV wall mount you should purchase. If you do not know the size of your TV, it is indicated on the back of your TV as part of the model number.

You can also measure the size yourself. Measure the distance diagonally between the corners of the screen, not including the frame around it. If you measure the screen in centimeters, divide this number by 2.54 to calculate the size in inches.

2. VESA

VESA (Video Electronics Standards Association) is a universal size designation used by most TV and wall mount manufacturers. VESA indicates the distance between the mounting points at the back of the TV.

A TV mount is installed using these mounting points, for example. Vogel's supplies all of the mounting materials you need with each TV mount.

3. Weight

TVs are getting lighter, making it easier to install your TV on a TV wall mount. Always be sure to check the maximum weight that the mount is able to support. This will ensure that your TV stays firmly and safely mounted on the wall.

This information is always clearly stated in the product information or on the TV mount packaging.

4. Cable management
