AV Mounting Solutions for Better Care Experiences

Bernhoven: caring for patients and staff

Bernhoven Hospital in Uden is a modern healthcare facility where not only patient care is central, but also the well-being of staff. A healthy and ergonomic working environment plays an important role in every department. From the entrance hall and reception to offices, control rooms and the intensive care unit: staff must be able to work comfortably, safely and efficiently everywhere.

With Vogel’s monitor and display mounting solutions, Bernhoven has created workstations that support ease of use, clear overview and an ergonomic working posture – throughout the entire hospital.

Bernhoven: a hospital with a warm atmosphere

Bernhoven demonstrates that a hospital no longer needs to feel cold or clinical. A conscious choice has been made for a welcoming, homely atmosphere in which staff and visitors feel comfortable. Each department has its own color scheme, adding character, calmness and a pleasant appearance.

At the same time, technology is present everywhere in the hospital. Displays and monitors support workflows wherever you look. From information screens in public areas to workstations with one, two or multiple monitors per desk: strong visual support has become indispensable.

Our approach

The challenge

Casestudy | Vogel's

For the renewed Bernhoven Hospital, the assignment was clear and extensive: to deliver future-proof AV solutions that contribute to efficient healthcare processes and optimal working comfort.

Across the entire hospital, existing workstations had to be upgraded or completely redesigned into flexible and ergonomic workspaces. In a modern healthcare environment, where professionals work intensively with digital systems, a well-designed workstation is essential for both productivity and well-being.

The requirements were broad and demanding:

  • Workstations needed to support one, two, three, four or more monitors, depending on role and department
  • All screens had to be easily height-adjustable, complying with ergonomic healthcare guidelines
  • Monitors needed to be flexible in tilt and rotation, allowing colleagues and patients to view easily
  • Workstations had to be modular and scalable, ready for future expansion

Additionally, professional display solutions played a key role throughout the hospital. In various spaces – including the central hall, waiting areas, office environments, examination rooms and the Intensive Care Unit – displays were required for both information delivery and entertainment and patient comfort.

The solution

For mounting monitors, the Vogel’s MOMO system was used: a stylish and functional solution that fits any working environment. With a limited number of base components and accessories, the ideal configuration can easily be created. Whether mounting 1, 2, 3 or 4 monitors – or even building a complete monitor wall – the system offers maximum flexibility.

For displays and TVs, the Vogel’s Connect-it system was implemented. This modular concept is specifically designed for mounting displays on walls, floors or ceilings. Using just a few standard components, solutions can be created for almost any situation.

The result

Casestudy | Vogel's

The end result at Bernhoven Hospital is a completely renovated healthcare environment where AV solutions, ergonomics, and design come together seamlessly. Flexible, ergonomic workstations have been installed throughout the hospital, perfectly tailored to the daily work of healthcare professionals.

Staff now have workstations equipped with one or more monitors, which are easily height-adjustable and can be rotated and tilted with ease. This provides a clearer overview, enables more efficient working and improves collaboration – both amongst staff and with patients. At the same time, the workstations are fully modular and expandable, allowing them to easily adapt to future developments within the healthcare sector.

Significant progress has also been made in the field of professional display solutions within the hospital. Displays have been installed in areas such as the main lobby, waiting rooms, offices, examination rooms and the Intensive Care Unit, serving both as information displays and as a source of comfort and entertainment. Everywhere, these screens are fitted with sleek, secure and aesthetically pleasing mounting solutions, with neatly concealed cabling that contributes to a calm and professional atmosphere. For Bernhoven, quality, modularity, design and sustainability were essential factors contributing to a future-proof hospital interior.
