LMZ Landesmedienzentrum Baden - Württemberg

The state media authority in Stuttgart is the Landesanstalt für Kommunikation Baden-Württemberg (LFK). It is an independent authority responsible for regulating and promoting private broadcasting and digital media in Baden-Württemberg. The LFK works in cooperation with other state media authorities in Germany and is part of the Gemeinsamen Stelle Programm, Werbung und Medienkompetenz (GSPWM).

Tasks of the LMZ

Licensing and supervision: Issues broadcasting licences for private radio and television stations and monitors compliance with legal regulations.
Media funding: Supports media projects, community media and journalistic innovation.
Media literacy: Promotes educational initiatives for the safe and critical use of media.

Youth media protection: Monitors content from private broadcasters and online media with regard to youth protection regulations.
Technological developments: Supports digitalisation and new media distribution channels.

Project background

The challenge

There was no webinar studio that you could use. Not in the state of Baden-Württemberg, nor in any other federal state. To that end, LMZ used funding from Germany's Digital Pact to set up a state-of-the-art webinar studio.
It was important to the LMZ to havethe latest technology, including an LED wall and an LED floor. A control room was also required that could be run by as few staff as possible. It was also essential that the studio could be set up quickly and function efficiently.

The solution

AV-Partner Bellgardt Medientechnik Vertriebs-GmbH was commissioned to carry out the project.Unilumin LED-Bildschirme wurden an der Wand und Boden befestigt - eine riesige Aufgabe.
Unilumin LED screens were mounted on both the wall and floor - a major undertaking.
The wall features Unilumin panels with 0.05 inches (1.2mm) pixels. The floor features Unilumin panels with a 2.6 mm (0.10 inches) pixels.

The result

An immersive experience created by combining the LED floor and wall.
Thanks to the installation of this LED wall and floor solution, the webinar studio can now be used for various purposes.
The panels are seamlessly connected to each other using the dvLED Connect-it system.

About the mounting system

The dvLED Connect-it system was used for this LED solution. The simple, modular and universal system from Vogel's that allows you to mount a dvLED panel from any brand and series in no time at all. The patented system is straightforward: You can set up an LED wall with just a few products. And thanks to adjustments in the x, y and z directions, the dvLED video wall can be installed seamlessly and easily. dvLED Connect-it is suitable for all brands of dvLED panels, including Unilumin's LED panels.
