TV on the wall with a cable cover

Tired of all the visible cables coming out of the TV in your current home? Fortunately, you don't have to undergo a major renovation to achieve a neat look. Elegant, timeless cable covers from Vogel’s neatly hide the cables coming out of the TV. Make sure the cable cover is wide enough to hide all necessary cables.

Vogel’s universal aluminium cable cover

Our high-quality aluminium cable cover (TVA 7000) fits any Vogel’s TV mount. And it is also easy to attach to various walls. Not only does it create a neat look, it also instantly protects the cables.

This elegant cable cover TVA 7000 is available in white and black. Do you have a different colour wall? Then you can easily paint over the cable cover to make it blend nicely into the wall.

The cable cover offers space for 6 cables, such as an HDMI cable, power cord or internet cable. So, besides your TV connection, you can also easily hide the cables for your speakers, game console and other equipment.

Hide cables behind your TV with a back cover

Of course, with a full motion wall brakcet, you don't want to see tangled cables as soon as you turn the TV. Many of our full motion mounts have the Cable Inlay System (CIS®), Vogel’s patented cable management system. The system routes the cables through support arms from the wall to your TV. For other mounts, we guide the cables tight along the support arm.

If you don't want to see any cables when you turn your TV, opt for the back cover. It covers all cables and connections to your TV. With its anthracite colour, you can be sure it won't stand out.

Hide cables with TV behind TV stand

Do you have your TV mounted on a TV stand rather than hanging on a wall bracket? For those, too, we have considered convenient cable management in the design. There is a special space behind our TV stand (TVS 3695 and TVS 3690) where you can easily conceal the TV cables. This instantly creates a clean and tidy look. Moreover, the cables are easy to access and are protected.

Types of cables for cable management

Before cable cover
  • HDMI cable: this provides a digital audio and video connection between your equipment and TV.
  • UTP cable: useful for connecting devices to the internet, such as Apple TV.
  • Coax cable: this is often used to connect your TV to a cable network.
  • Power cable: useful for turning on the TV.

TIP: Are you hanging a Vogel’s full motion TV? Then we recommend using a longer cable so that the mount can make the full rotation angle. Otherwise the cable might come loose as soon as you turn the TV.

Oehlbach HDMI cables

Complete the picture with the right accessories, such as an Oehlbach Black Magic or Flex Evolution HDMI cable for clear picture and sound. The cables are triple shielded to prevent interference and poor signal quality to your TV. Both variants are 3 metres long.

Cable management in new buildings

Are you starting with a blank canvas in a newly built home? Then you can still specify exactly where in the walls the cables should pass through. Discuss with the contractor or electrician exactly where you want the ducts and conduits for the TV and other equipment. A wide cable duct allows you to hide all necessary cables behind the wall. No extra accessory is involved.

Installing additional electricity

In this process, don't forget to create sufficient sockets. Not only does your TV need to be connected, but USB-powered devices also need power. It's useful to place an outlet directly behind the TV, for example. Just fit and measure carefully to make sure there are no bulges on the TV at the level of the socket so that it fits perfectly.

Getting to grips with cable management

With all these handy cable management tips, we hope we have shown how you can neatly hide your cables. So you can enjoy a TV that is not only hung securely, but also looks sleek.
