In the face of price erosion in the TV world, accessories are gaining importance. This makes competition tougher, so it’s essential to stay in front in terms of innovation, quality and design.
As Product Manager for Vogel’s consumer products, Pim Rosendaal is faced with this challenge. He says, “We look for where we can add value. Take the SoundMount™.”

Pim explains: "Today’s ultra-thin TVs come at the expense of audio quality, so we made excellent sound part of the TV experience again. The integrated sound bar turns with the screen, so it maintains ‘line of sight’ to your ear.”
He also underlines the importance of getting things right for the consumer. “If a coffee machine breaks, you can carry it back to the store. But a TV mount is secured to the wall. The last thing a consumer wants is to take it down if something’s not working.” So Vogel’s products are constantly tested throughout development. Vogel’s makes sure everything needed is in the box. “And if it’s not in the box, we’ll supply it for free”, Pim adds. “This is the promise Vogel’s makes to the consumer.”
Regarding the future, screens will become thinner (‘Wallpaper TV’) and larger. This is where interaction and cooperation with TV manufacturers in developing mounting solutions is valuable. “So, when it happens, we’ll be there.”
