Thorough testing guarantees the best quality

The GS certification mark provides an extra confirmation of the safety of Vogel’s products. All Vogel’s consumer and professional products are thoroughly tested to meet the stringent requirements of this certifying body. The GS certification mark is handed out by the TüV organisation. TüV is an independent certification institute for products and production processes. They carry out independent quality and safety tests and are recognised around the world as the mark of outstanding quality.

Virtually all Vogel’s products have the GS certification mark. Vogel’s undergoes this voluntary certification to provide extra proof of the safety of its product. Part of this process includes an accelerated endurance test. This test simulates the daily cycle of normal use for a product that a consumer would carry out over a 10 year period. Consumer products are also put through an overload test to ensure they perform correctly under all conditions.

Our professional products

All Vogel’s professional products are engineered and designed according to the VSS standard (Vogel’s Safety Standard). On top of the VSS standard most products are also GS certified by TÜV. GS certified products for professional use are tested to carry at least 5 times the specified weight.
VSS-3 = tested to 3 times the specified weight
VSS-5 = tested to 5 times the specified weight
TÜV/GS certified = tested to 3 times or 5 times the specified weight
